  • Safeguarding

At Sound and District Primary School the safety and wellbeing of all our pupils is paramount. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all the children who attend our school; we expect all staff, parents, governors, volunteers and visitors to share this commitment and to follow our safeguarding procedures. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.

Staff are trained in Safeguarding and Child Protection and children are made aware of the adults they can talk to if they have any concerns.

Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare.  Concerns will be discussed with parents / carers first unless we have reason to believe such a move would be contrary to a child’s welfare.

A copy of our Safeguarding Policy which has lots of extra information on how we safeguard our children in Sound School can be viewed on our Policies page.

The Designated Safeguarding Lead is Mrs Minshalll-Thomas
