What do you think is great about Sound Primary School?
There are lots of unique and amazing things about Sound (especially the fabulous children) but when I first stepped through the door it was the welcoming , family atmosphere that I felt and the togetherness that the whole school community show.
What are your favourite hobbies?
Spending time with my family and especially enjoy our camping trips and bike rides. I also like to go road biking and enjoy my spinning classes at the gym !
What are your favourite subjects to teach?
It has to be Physical Education and Computing but I also love maths!
Whats your favourite book ?
It has to be Superworm by Julia Donaldson and Burglar Bill !
If you had the choice to go anywhere in the world, where would it be ?
New York at Christmas !

It has to be Jamaican food (My husband is a great cook !)

I love the friendly staff and lovely smiley children. I love working at Sound, it feels like home.

baking, swimming and reading

The Gruffalo – I love Julia Donaldson stories and Matilda ( you can’t beat Roald Dahl)
If you had the choice to go anywhere in the world, where would it be ?
Madagascar – I would love to see the ring tailed Lemur with my own eyes !

Italian – particularly pizza!

What do you think is great about Sound Primary School?
I love the family atmosphere and wonderful children, families and staff! It’s such a joy and privilege to see our children grow throughout their time at Sound.
What are your favourite hobbies?
I love family days out and being outside. I enjoy baking and swimming too.
What are your favourite subjects to teach?
I love seeing the children sharing their learning that they are really proud of! I particularly enjoy seeing such wonderful writing, art and history work!
Whats your favourite book ?
I’ve read Harry Potter countless times and is still one of my favourite series to read. I love to read Oliver Jeffers and Julia Donaldson books to my classes.
If you had the choice to go anywhere in the world, where would it be ?
I would love to visit Australia and New Zealand. I would love to see the Great Barrier Reef!

I love freshly baked bread and some chocolate treats!

How long have you worked at Sound?
This is my first year at sound and I am excited to get started.
What do you think is great about Sound Primary School?
The sense of community in the school and the opportunities for children to be curious, explore and try new things.
What are your favourite hobbies?
My hobbies are mainly sport based (taekwondo, football and jogging) however I also love traveling and experiencing new cultures.
What are your favourite subjects to teach?
My favourite subjects to teach are science, history and geography.
Whats your favourite book ?
My favourite book Is the Damned United.
If you had the choice to go anywhere in the world, where would it be ?
I would go to Peru to visit Macho Picch.

My favourite food is Irish boiled bacon and cabbage.

What do you think is great about Sound Primary School?
Mrs C Wagg – I love working at Sound. It has such a family feel! As soon as you walk through the door you are greeted with a smile and you become a member of the Sound family! Everyone looks out for each other and cares about their friends, staff and children alike. Every day is different and full of new learning experiences.
Mrs D Allen – Very friendly and supportive staff and brilliant children. Sound has a real nurturing, family atmosphere.
What are your favourite hobbies?
Mrs C Wagg – I love spending quality time with my family and going on adventures together, especially visiting new places and going on holiday. I also enjoy running. I have completed the London Marathon as well as many half marathons! I am looking out for my next challenge! When I am feeling creative I love photography, mainly taking pictures of my children and interesting places I have visited.
Mrs D Allen – Running, walking, going on holiday and getting better at sewing !
What are your favourite subjects to teach?
Mrs C Wagg – I love ART! I really enjoy spending time with the children drawing, painting and getting sticky and messy! I don’t like the cleaning up after though! I love to make big sculptures out of interesting objects, turning something boring into a work of art and seeing the children’s faces light up when they see all their hard work come together in a final masterpiece!
Mrs D Allen – English (especially poetry! ), Maths, History and Art
Whats your favourite book ?
Mrs C Wagg – I think my all-time favourite book is Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter. I had this story read to me as a child and I loved reading it to my children when they were little. The pictures are so beautifully painted and so detailed, they really bring the characters alive. I wish I could have gone on an adventure in Mr Mcgregors garden with Peter Rabbit!
Mrs D Allen – Adult book – Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng and the children’s books – The Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt. I must not forget Ring of Words Poetry Anthology by Roger Mc Gough.
If you had the choice to go anywhere in the world, where would it be ?
Mrs Allen – New Zealand
Mrs C Wagg – The Maldives – hot sunshine, white soft sand, turquoise warm sea, palm trees swaying in the breeze, underwater tropical life and a very good book!!! Who wouldn’t want to spend time there!!!
What is your favourite food?
Mrs Allen – Lot’s of favourites ! Toast, butter and marmalade , sticky toffee pudding, Hawaiian pizza, my new recipe shepherds pie and chicken curry !
Mrs Wagg – My favourite food just has to be chocolate! I have a real sweet tooth! Dairy Milk is the best; smooth, creamy and delicious!

My Sound school journey started in 1985 when I started primary school here. I started working here in 2004.

I love the Sound school family , everyone knows everybody and cares for everyone. We are fortunate to have our school situated in beautiful surroundings.

I enjoy going caravanning with my friends. I also breed sheep on the farm where I live and love spending time with my family.
