Rising Stars Wraparound Care
Welcome to Rising Stars
We are delighted to offer Rising Stars, our school-run wraparound care provision at Sound and District Primary School.
Rising Stars provides a safe, welcoming and enjoyable start and end to the school day, giving children the opportunity to relax, play, socialise and take part in a range of engaging activities in a familiar school environment.
Our wraparound care is run by the school, for our families, and is designed to support parents and carers with high-quality childcare before and after the school day.
Our School-Run Provision
Rising Stars is fully managed by the school and reflects the same caring values, high expectations and nurturing ethos that are at the heart of Sound and District Primary School.
Children attending Rising Stars will benefit from:
- a safe and familiar setting
- experienced and caring adults
- fun, varied activities
- opportunities to build friendships across year groups
- a calm and positive start and finish to the day
We want every child to feel happy, included and valued as part of our Rising Stars club.
Sessions Available
Breakfast Club 7:30-8:30am
Our Breakfast Club offers children a calm and positive start to the day. Children can enjoy breakfast, settle into the morning and take part in quiet activities before the school day begins.
After School Club 3:00-6:00pm
Our After School Club provides children with opportunities to unwind, play and enjoy a range of creative, active and social experiences at the end of the school day.
What Children Can Expect
At Rising Stars, children can enjoy a wide variety of activities, which may include:
- arts and crafts
- construction and tabletop games
- reading and quiet time
- outdoor play
- sports and active games
- themed activities and special events
We will also share updates with families about activities, menus, special events and important club information through our dedicated Rising Stars Dojo Page.
Our Values
At Rising Stars, we are encouraging children to help shape the culture of the club and develop a strong sense of belonging. We want our wraparound provision to reflect our school values and be a place where children:

Staffing
Our wraparound care is overseen by school leaders Governors and managed as part of our wider school provision, ensuring consistency, quality and strong communication with families.
The Breakfast Club is led by Mrs Kyle, who brings a wealth of experience and a warm, nurturing approach.
Our After School Club is supported by experienced staff who work closely with the school to ensure a high-quality experience for all children.
Communication with Families
We are keen to keep parents and carers well informed about Rising Stars. Families will receive updates about:
- activities the children are enjoying
- menus and snacks
- special theme days and events
- key messages and reminders
We want Rising Stars to be a positive extension of the school day and an important part of our school community.
